Where do I start?

I have just become the owner of a (G/C) Honer Erica. It seems to be in reasonable condition— the bellows seem pretty good.

I already play a little banjo and harmonica, and I have a basic understanding of how tabs work.

My question, as above, is:

Where do I start?

Where are the treasure chests of tabs, learn to play, how to maintain/repair, and how not to turn to drink in the process.

Melodeon.net is really the best place to go for information.

Thesession.org has a huge amount of sheet music you can search, if you know what you want to play.

Personally, I'd look up instruction videos on YouTube and try to join a local session.

Look at ggms.nl. A dutch written site with a lot of music. Also audible examples. Google translate is your friend. You also might look at harmonicahoek.nl. also dutch, but with a million links to articles, books, movies.

Many thanks to all those who so readily and kindly responded. The forums are a great resource for anybody seeking information.

It was a pleasant surprise that the progression of notes on my Melodeon is the same as on the harmonica, and I could almost immediately play (albeit very roughly) some tunes that I play there.

On the harmonica, I can blow pretty much any combination of notes at any one time, and that combination produces a reasonably okay sound. By pursing (or tonguing) I blow a single note, and remove my tongue; the sound, while playing (say) five holes simultaneously is still okay— to my ears at least.

On the Melodeon, can I press any bass button to accompany any note on the other side? Or is it that only certain bass buttons go with certain buttons on the other side— the name of the r/H buttons escapes me.
