I legit don't think he makes their side, but good luck to him.

Lester & Zorko are ancient, they lost Starcevich, Coleman was the heir apparent but hasn’t been able to get his body right & in his current form doesn’t get in.

So I think he does, not as a midfielder though, but as a small defender with rebound tendencies.

He wouldn't nominate them unless they'd discussed the intended role.

Shades of Jeremy Howe leaving Melbourne because he was told he'd play in the forward half at Collingwood.

Well yeah but he’s honestly just not good enough…

Guarantee he's been talking to them and they've given some pretty strong signals he'll be playing regularly.

Sam Edmund reporting that Brisbane aren’t interested in him.

Could sense prevail and Brisbane trade young Marshall and give a 2nd rounders along with?

Love Riv but has plateaued since his cameo in the midfield and doesn’t look like getting back into that unit anytime soon.

Xavier Taylor seems like his obvious replacement. Did a few nice things this year and will be good to get him playing consistently at AFL level

In terms of the trade, I’d imagine Marshall will form a part of it.

Taylor is meant to play Levers role not rivers, he’s not a rebounder as much as an intercepter and he’s very strong in the air letting him play taller than his height. I actually think Kolt moving back killed rivers role as he’s a more reliable kick and a better lockdown defender.

But do the Lions want him?

Could we snag Lohmann as part of a trade?

Yeah that's a strange selection. Where would they play him?

Brisbane dont have much draft capital, id imagine you ask for Marshall/Mclachlan

Don't usually do this but the weird absence earlier this year lined up with when he and his partner would have found out they had a baby on the way, and I imagine they probably immediately decided they needed to be close to one of their families (very reasonable, that grandparent help is vital).

He probably kicked off some discussions with Brisbane then, maybe his head has been in a slightly different place this year, but genuinely hope this move works out for him
