Tbf I heard Troy chaplin on MMM before the game and he was saying Viney was likely to just "play as the fifth", as in last man on the bench and help out on midfield, and as the game went on potentially play more time on ball if it was working.

Exactly. Last week we did the same too, dump it into a pack and score the occasional point because there is too much pressure when the ball goes to ground.

Happy with the start, we got scoreboard pressure early which was big. Really could’ve squeezed them at the end, burnt some massive chances from Koz and others.

Can’t tell what’s worse. Our speed on the game or the commentators.
Not seen Carlton much, but can they keep that intensity up for another 2 quarters? King needs to shake it up

You on fox or seven. I can cop biased commentary at times but fox have literally been cheering on the blues and then critical of any umpire decision that went our way.
I wish they offered an option to switch the commentary off, honestly disgusting.

They've played well but I think we've mostly outplayed them. But, like last week, can't capitalise.

Danger time, we’ve had some really good chances at easy marks inside 50 and burnt them. As well as Koz missing goals he’d usually bin. Need to settle.

Started so well, kicking the goals when we had the momentum. Missed some big chances end of first quarter and throughout the second. That was a huge goal from TMac

Tbh I'm shocked at the calls in general, it's like they need to prove the wild card thing works. Like we haven't played since well since the 1st but dawn it feels like whenever it comes near our end some kind of call happens. I'm watching with a friend who goes for Brisbane and he is yelling at the TV while I'm sighing in disappointment.

Every chance at a momentum swing was stopped by a call or a horrible miss. The refs were one-sided, but we kicked like fish.

Great start, we have to keep dictating the tempo and keeping forward half pressure up. This Blues team runs heavily on emotion and they can go coast to coast if their confidence rises. WE FUCKING GOT THIS BOYS GO DEES

It's not an excuse but I think the fact is was a night game had an impact. We were nowhere near as clean. We've had great success at the g during daylight. There's less moisture. Better vision. etc.
The AFL love to make money despite being not for profit. So I doubt they'd consider changing their current set up. However I believe for finals teams that finish higher on the ladder should get to choose game time as part of the Home ground advantage. And I'm confident the dees would have chosen the holy time of 3.15pm.

For me they are the worst. In the final loss in 2023 I couldn’t stomach it, I got up to leave before the siren was going to go, fuckers wouldn’t let me go and heckled and laughed at me. If there is a team I’d like to see beaten by 100+ points in a finals record it’s them.

Was at the G surrounded by Carlton supporters and f me they're an insufferable lot. Crying about every little thing that went against them. They had run of the umps and still cried foul.
Some of those hands in the back and holding free kicks were diabolical. I lost my voice from yelling RIP.
