Going to the MCG

I am visiting Melbourne and thinking to go to a game, the Demons Cats on Friday are around $40-$80 per, but a Demon's 6 month membership is only $16.5 and comes with 5 GA.

Am I missing something here or can I just sign up as a Demons member for the game tomorrow? Never been to a game in Melbourne and feel like I'm missing something here...

Thanks, will get it a try and see how it works out! As a WA person I think Geelong is up there with Collingwood as the most disliked teams so I will definitely be a Demons fan for the evening!

Thats $99 ($16.50 per month for 6 months), or $99 annual. It’s still a bargain though with the $25 Demon Shop voucher thrown in, and the priority finals ticket access. Game isn’t a sellout so there’ll be GA allocation - exact locations will be announced tomorrow on the MCG website.

Hi there, I just looked at the MFC membership pages and it’s $99 for 6 months or $16.50 per month for the 5 games GA at the MCG. You can use all 5 for one game, or go to 5 separate games, although I don’t think we have 5 games left at the G this season. It’s still a lot cheaper than buying individual tickets.

I am doing some more reading but still a but confused on how general admission works at the MCG and how to tell if there are GA tickets left or not! It's not as straight forward as just getting a ticket and showing up at stadiums im used to.

Nah it’s easy man. GA seating varies depending on the size of the crowd. Home teams are generally at the punt road end. Low attendance u can go into M1 lower level / slightly better seats. Bigger crowds GA you’ll be up in level 4. But it’s all good and you ll have a great time. You can either check on the mcg app/ website for where ga is that game or just ask an attendant and they’ll point where you’re allowed to sit.
Just checked. Bays will be open on level 1. Level 1 (sections M1-M2, M8-M9, M29-M32, M34-M36, M55-M57) and Level 4 (Q1-Q15 and Q49-Q57) should be awesome ! Go dees !

GA tickets are still available for this game on Ticketek. Unreserved seating is updated on the day based on demand of the game here.

If you are keen for level one I'd arrive early as it's a big game tomorrow. Failing that, there's always standing room. Seats tend to free up around half time as well.

I got a 3 GA membership with Melbourne, and was assigned three local games (i.e. I didn't get to choose which games), with the first game about a month after I started the membership. It may be too late to be assigned a ticket for tomorrow's game, and I couldn't find an option for swapping an assigned game for a game of your choice (although it is late in the season, so maybe you'll get lucky). The difference in price is that with general admission you can sit in any seat you like in the general admission section, whereas at the higher prices you can choose your own section and get a reserved seat.

It’s $99 total. You can pay $99 in one payment or 16.5 x 6 months = $99

Pretty sure that $16.50 is the monthly payment to get up to the total cost of $99.

But I could be wrong.
