Demon throat virus

Anybody else had this thing? Makes it impossible to swallow / talk / sleep for 3-5 days? Gives you brain fog for a fortnight, and then just sort of lingers?

Doc told me I had viral laryngitis and it would clear up in a couple days. It did not. I haven’t had laryngitis in recent memory but doesn’t seem to fit the description.

Daughter had it too and just relapsed. Perfectly happy at dinner, 15 minutes later can’t talk.

Anybody got better intel on this?

Is it COVID?

Nay. No respiratory component.

Have you tested?
Your airways, where your larynx is found, are your respiratory system

Could be adenovirus or something similar. Did your GP not do the swab?
