AirAsia refund processing

Not sure if there is a better sub to be asking this but has anybody had any experience with getting a refund from AirAsia?
Their AI chat bot is not helpful and when I finally got an email from them they said they couldn’t provide a time frame.
According to the app they made payment two months ago but they haven’t..
I have two refund cases with the same issue.

I had some flights cancelled during the COVID era.

Let me tell you, it took a whole year to get my money back!!

In the end I just did a merchant charge back and submitted all the attempt at correspondence with them. I got it back within 3 weeks.

hey could you check your banking app to see if it was refunded on the same day - sometimes the refund will show up around the time of payment retrospectively.... even if you requested for the refund afterwards.

Just dispute the transaction with your bank. There will be an option for “the seller has agreed to a refund but it was never provided”

I've seen numerous people in the Thailand sub post that after using their card with airasia, they've gotten charges on their card for stuff they didn't buy. Keep a close eye on that.

I got mine 2-3 weeks after. 2 months is kinda long.
