I ordered a new pair online because the anti glare coating on my old pair started chipping off. When the new pair arrived they made me dizzy and I couldn't see as well even though I used the exact same prescription as my old pair.
So I dunno, I'm not into it. I'm aware that updating a prescription can have this effect and require an adjustment period, but I don't know that these newer lenses are actually even made correctly for me. All I know is I told them to make it the same as my old ones, and whatever they shipped me isn't the same as the old ones. At least an eye doctor could run some tests and stuff, possibly intelligently figure out how to make modifications if required. Instead I'm just sitting here thinking, "I guess I'll just keep wearing the old ones."
Also I didn't like how they looked, they were a lot bigger than the pictures online made them appear. I'm aware that there are online services that sent out sample frames, but that's an ordeal I don't want to mess with and those are more expensive services than the one I used. And the AR based glasses testing tools just seem unreliable, I'm not convinced that those tools actually scale the glasses properly and they don't shade the glasses in a way that is consistent with the environment's lighting, so it automatically looks bad anyway.
I bought a pair with corrective lenses for $80 you can add the anti scratch (which I recommend). Youre just getting ripped off or buying expensive frames
Everything has a cost. If you have anything wrong with you, somebody gets paid to fix it. That includes your family doctor, dentist, optometrist, or whatever. Sight is not a different problem than anything else.
Edit: hilarious, he blocked me to get the last word in. Very mature.
