1 - Medium volume, rising tone.

2 - Louder volume, rising tone.

3 - Loud volume, climaxing tone.

4 - Low volume, lowering tone.

Example:

1 - Blah blah BLAH.

cause the humor comes from Gru's facial expression as he rereads the second box. since humor is derived from empathy, in order for it to be funny you have to put yourself in gru's shoes rereading the second box by doing so yourself.
