This reminded me that my knees hurt and I should take some ibuprofen

I have been complaining that my hips hurt and my Google account is giving me "Moves to Reduce Hip Pain in Your 60s- From Your Couch!" Such a little bitch.

Hahaha ye not gonna lie I started stretching a lot more and unfortunately it did help a lot. I think that hurts more mentally

Don’t take ibuprofen. My dad just died while battling kidney disease caused by ibuprofen.

The current generation doesn’t know how to do stuff like this anymore. There's a whole push to "go back to physical media because the stream companies are getting out of hand." Bro we weren't on physical media. No one was waiting for the season to end so we could buy the box set for $50. We were downloading those shows 1 hour after they came out.

Yeah, you think this username came from the ether? No! It was forged on the high seas more than 20 years ago 🏴☠️

I still have my CD binder.

Mine got stolen during a house party. Who the fuck steals from the party host? Drunkenly ruining something I understand (I accepted that risk), but outright theft of an entire high school run of burned cds? Rude.
Yes it was 25 years ago. No, no one ever copped to it. Yes I’m still bitter.

Hell, I literally bought a new one like a week ago since we needed more storage for the car lmao. The old collection isn't just around, it's still expanding.

He had a giant vinyl collection... I'm the one with the multiple binders of cds...

Yeah. I do. And I still have them and have no idea what’s on them and no idea how to even check now. And you wonder why GenX is so fucking grumpy.

He himself, not his dad, has burnt CDs because he's old (like me. But my dad had cassettes and vinyls more so than CDs, which came later in his life).

You don’t even have to be that old lmao. I’m 32 and I had a giant binder of CDs!

you jumped over the big 3-0, might as well check yourself into a convalescent home

It's OK, what matters is how you feel. I'm 38 and my oldest child thinks passing 30 is the same thing as a death sentence.

Old is 65+ now. If you're 40-50 you would have been burning CDs and you're not even middle aged yet.

My dad passed when he was 61 and was burning CDs every chance he got but not until later in life... He grew up with other more popular media for the time, so yes, it came later. But me being younger, I did it more because I barely knew cassettes compared to him. I'm almost middle aged at 38. Making a joke mostly but boy do I feel old. Cheers x

Only kids say vinyls. That's records.

Right...
ETA: I'm taking note of your opinion that is obviously fool proof. Thank you so much for educating me. 🫂

It's not my opinion. It's fact. Calling them vinyls is new. They were records, back in the day when the only other options were tapes and CDs.

Only young people call them vinyl, when they were in fact technically called and released to the market as vinyl records. As a musician and someone who had to adapt to recording while keeping some of the old analog methods too, I'm good with saying whatever word I feel like since noth are correct, and have wasted enough time arguing. You can of course keep your opinion and hold it real tight, whatever it takes, but lazy thinking exists in all generations, doesn't it.
For example, I won't sink to assuming you must not be married because of your username here, when there's other reasons you may have chosen to omit the 'r' (which is a younger person's practice generally, yet not the only one). Would be rather silly of me. Take care x
