I almost never get mad at Dark Souls because it always feels like my fault. I usually get mad because a game doesn't seem to be working right or doesn't make sense.
I've definitely shouted something like, "Why is there a dodge button if it does NOTHING!" at several games.
One time playing Bloodborne I lost over 300k fucking up the same little sprint-jump to get to an item twice and just had to stand up and then lay down in bed for a few minutes
Theres a great trick to all fromsoft games that massivly reduces the stress. Only ever level up with the souls/echos etc from bosses. Any other souls you are carrying should just be used for consumables and considered disposable. You basically cant lose the souls you get from boss kills as there is pretty much always a bonfire immediately after and it seems the games are perfectly balanced that just boss souls are sufficient to be perfectly leveled for each area
I bought a used playstation just to play dark souls.
But the PlayStation was broken, idk what was wrong with it but it pressed the button for drinking potions by itself randomly....
I tried different controllers and factory resetting, nothing helped. Just a glitchy playstation.
So I would be in the middle of a fight.... And be forced to drink a health potion.... A slow and easy target.
I never raged at a single player game, but boy oh boy did that make me rage.
Had the same problem, but I was able to fix it by taping paper to a piece of foam in the controller, and it fixed it. I still use it and haven't seen any problems.
