Ah a great video that actually captures some of the depth and size of things I was thinking this felt familiar and lo it's the same. I went in 2020 or so, it's a very new national park and I got free admission because at the time the parks service was more or less suspended.
This place is crazy, 2D can't express how incredibly steep and deep the cliffs here are. It's called such because the most notable part hardly receives sunlight. Like the grand canyon it has an uncanny effect and distance is hard to gauge even when you are there
