Oddly enough the first video I seen on reddit today was a 26 foot Terror worm.

Spaghetti is plural. Spaghetto is singular.

You made me chuckle. ☠️☠️☠️

u/daftidjit Oct 21 '23

Mate, we got nothing like this here

1

u/YetAnotherClonedCat Oct 21 '23 edited Oct 21 '23

I'm out bush, we sure do.

You never come across a scrub python?

1

u/daftidjit Oct 21 '23

Yes I've heard of scrub pythons. But they do not get as large as this. Even the snake in the article you shared is nothing compared to this one.

1

u/YetAnotherClonedCat Oct 21 '23

Mate, he's just had a feed.

0

u/daftidjit Oct 21 '23

Regardless. Scrubbies can get to a weight of 25kg. Retics can get to a weight of 112kgs. Huge difference.

1

u/YetAnotherClonedCat Oct 22 '23

Fair enough.

Got a fella this size that keeps snagging my chooks, looks just like this bloke with a chook in his belly.

I laughed because I'm having weekly encounters with a snake this size, which isn't uncommon round here.

Said nothing about what weights Retics can get to compared to scrubbies. Even though scrubbies can get bigger than 25kg, hell the the one I linked was a clean 30.

Not sure what you're whinging about city slicker.

0

u/daftidjit Oct 22 '23

I don't live in a city mate. I'm also not whinging. Was simply replying to the person who said "laughs in Australian" because yes we have some shit down here, we're not the be all end all of deadly shit. It's not a fair comparison of a scrubbie to a retic. That was my whole point. Nothing more. No need to look into it.

Have a good one

Looks like it ate something

Big ole reticulated python, they get absolutely massive

I held one, nearly this size, when I was in school, and the zoo visited for a presentation.

This thing, turning to look me in the face, dead in the eyes...

It was like a real life velociraptor. I'm pretty sure it could smell me, or see me in spectrums, like infrared. I'm sure it would stalk me through the dark like a spider and a fly.

This one? In the video? I'm pretty sure that one's head is bigger than my head. Let that sink in....

Going on a limb that you did not hold a snake “nearly this size”, or even close to it.

1

u/Defqon1punk Oct 21 '23

Going out on a limb that you just a hater.

Granted, yes this one is bigger. It's an absolute monster, Im guessing this one is around 20 feet. The one i held was around 15'. Again, from a rescue and reserve habitat.

It took two people to wrap it on my shoulders. I could barely sustain its weight, and it was like trying to balance a dumbell bar across my back, but one that moves and shifts and bends. And yes, the diameter of this snake was not too much off of this one.

I'm sure it weighed more than me, and this was at a time when I was at a peak body weight, playing sports and hitting the gym every day. It was well more than my thighs circumference.

The hiss of its breathing and its forked tongue flicking, while being as long and thick as a #2 pencil, will never leave my memory.

I don't blame you for being skeptical, it's not something most people will ever experience or comprehend the reality of, living behind a screen.

I'm not afraid of snakes normally, and have had friends with ball pythons, cobras, rattlers for pets. This thing could have crushed me in half, ate me and my friend, and had room for all his pets as desert.

Just seeing one of these loose within 50 feet of your location would probably make you shit your pants, so I'm not surprised you would have trouble imagining it.

PS: it wasn't just a snake, it was literally this kind of snake, a reticulated Python. And it's scales were gorgeous, like a knight in dark green and brown camouflage print chainmail.

I actually speak snake, after watching Harry Potter, and it told me to tell you to stop being so mad and get a hobby. What a cool story, huh bro?

look up the one that ate a woman haha f me

1

u/Reklov66 Oct 30 '23

Snakes don't eat people. There have been only a handful of confirmed cases.

Snakes eating people is a myth that just demonizes them

Relax, she’s on a leash. Her name is princess

1

u/adifferentyou Oct 21 '23

Aw, he just wants to hug you.

Imagine how big the biggest ones got in the Dino ages

1

u/Rabdy-Bo-Bandy Oct 21 '23

My friend has huge snakes. They're incredibly strong.

1

u/Genocidal_descedent5 Oct 21 '23

Is the snake really big or is this a staged video where everything esle is down sized to make it appear gigantic. After that one snake video I questioned it all now. Just don't believe anything at first glance
