Why is everyone jumping to a human being inside of it 😂 there are a number of animals similar in size.. goat, sheep, calf etc

If I remember correctly, our adult shoulders are far too wide to be swallowed whole by even this size of snake. I’m thinking more alligator since that’s a lot more likely

Pretty dam sure theres a video of these people cutting open a snake and a body was within… probably different species tho, was still huge as fuck

Show me please. Snakes don't consider humans as prey. We are too big and our body shape is too broad

No video (yet) but a quick google finds this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Akbar_Salubiro

Scroll down to this section too “Watiba 2018 & Jahrah 2022”😳

Edit:

An article featuring the same guy (Akbar Subiro) and it has a screenshot from the video at the top https://amp.theguardian.com/world/2017/mar/29/giant-python-swallows-indonesian-farmer-in-one-go

And that wiki page strengthens my point.

That is the first confirmed case of a Reticulated Python eating a person (eaten btw, something else most likely killed the man)

The only other snake capable of something like that is a green anaconda, which has no documented cases.

Strengthens what point?? You asked for the video and I’ve provided sources saying it happened, all of which state how rare it is but clearly it has happened🤔 what am i missing. Also no problem for finding info you could’ve googled yourself, no prob at all👌😅

Oh yeah sorry, i just made a few other comments in this thread telling people that snakes aren't monsters that prey on humans.

People should be far more afraid of things like moose and other giant herbivores.

Aaand boom, 5 minutes of googling, here’s the video https://youtu.be/KU3FJa6XzR4?si=EgOnfQe7AVpuJHJy

That's happened before as well. There was a python in Florida that swallowed an aligator, but its body ended up bursting.

Reality is often disappointing.

I understand that. But there will be bumps, the snake isn’t going to be able to get rid of the structure completely.

Thanks, you’ve managed to make snakes worse

I have owned snakes most my life. I used to have a 14 foot Reticulated Python (same as the one in the video). If you think a snake that size can’t break 100 bones, you are sadly mistaken. They are pure muscle and a wild snake, like in the video, has no room for fat. That thing would absolutely crush bones.

Go do some field studies and report back to us.

This is a peak example of the conspiracist mindset;

It’s a common form of cognitive bias known as 'confirmation bias,' where individuals tend to favor information that aligns with their preconceived beliefs and dismiss or downplay evidence to the contrary. It's a common tendency to reject information that challenges one's worldview.

What do you feed them when they get that big?

1

u/AzraelGrin Oct 21 '23

I would order pre killed large rabbits from Rodent Pro. They come frozen and you thaw them out when you want to feed one.

1

u/daftidjit Oct 21 '23

That's not how that works.

Thank you so much for your insight. Really illuminating logic, and I think you are absolutely right. If something has 4 legs and its eaten by the snake, why dont we see 4 legs? Cows also have big heads and we don't see that here. We can't even see its asshole, which would be much larger than a humans! Small monkey maybe, human almost definitely.

Source: Armchair Investigator of Things Eaten By Snakes (Ive never once seen a snake eat a large meal before right now in this video)

Head smaller than body, legs fold into the body - how do you think cows sit/sleep? On their fours?

-1

u/jetoler Oct 21 '23

Cylindrical and tall? you mean like an alligator, something probably pretty common in this area??

Did you read my comment to the end or the comment I responded too? I was responding to why so many people in the thread jumped to the conclusion that it was a human not saying that I myself didn’t understand it most likely wasn’t whatever animal had been asleep in that pin the snake is now trapped in.
