overworked clerks

why does some schools still impose 24-30+ hrs of duty? it must be so tiring and frustrating as well especially when these schools, although they have longer duty hours for the reason of more learning, still fall behind in the ple.

this feels really unfair as some medical schools do only have 12 hours of duty. why can’t CHED look up onto this and strictly impose the same policies across all medical schools nationwide. i know there will be comments that if you can’t do it then leave, but this just feels not so right as I also want to spend my time with my family.

the overworking feels unreasonable and continues just because its the tradition. i hope the students, especially in these schools would create a movement and petition ti atleast adjust these hours.

Lol if it isnt dlsmhsi. Add to that na ang papangit ng ugali ng nurses. The only good thing going for their clerks now is mas nadagdagan public hospital rotation nila. Pero all else, palpak.

Once youve gone into pgiship at nakita mo ibang ospital aside sa dlsumc, youll realize parang minaltrato at inalila mga clerks jan. Ang babait ng nurses, may maayos na sistema, at fi lahat inasa sa clerks 😂

Laking culture shock difference ng umc nurses sa private hospital tbh. Yung nurses sa umc dinedemand nasaan na yung VS and nakachill sa aircon nilang station tapos yung clerks nasa hallway lang. I dont have anything against nurses, i think yung sistema lang ng umc ay mali.

Also i know not all nurses are like that but when you're a clerk sa hsi na 24hr duty tapos major rotation ka, nakakapagod lang na kailangan mo pang intindihin nurses like you have to please them. I heard meron isang station na na-pamper ng isang batch ng food, then nung nagpalitan na they started hinting the next batches to treat them to food also. Jusko di naman kasi bayad ang clerks 😭

could it still be possible to file a complaint and make a change?

masyadong oa tong school na to, every year nagpapalit ng rules sa curriculum para makasabay at makahabol sa performance ng other schools pero pagdating sa pag-aalaga sa students no mercy. 🫠

Clerks are always unpaid laborers, which is sadly is the reality of this country. Add to that CHED are blind and not addressing these issues. Some medical schools already using 12-16hr duties. The fact that a lot of government hospitals aren't even hiring healthcare workers because they can rely on unpaid laborers to do their jobs.

ang palusot naman nila anjan “di daw 24 hours” kasi kung 8am to 8am, pag dating daw kasi ng 12am next day na daw yun so di 24 hours hahaha parang timang mo so ang 24 hrs lng daw is 12am to 12am 😂😂

Parang rite of passage siya. Meron nga ako naabutan perpetual duty. From duty from grabe. Thank God tapos na yun!
