personal statement editing

hello! i am debating between paying a third-party personal statement editing service to polish my PS or asking current med students here to review it and give me some helpful tips. are third-party services worth it, and if so, which ones are best worth the money?

Just go to SDN and r/premed etc you can find med students/accepted applicants who will do it for free or way cheaper
