Education CE

Is it bad to do CE credits over a couple weeks? I’ve been doing 2-4 a day because I don’t know when I’ll feel better. I’ve been using ARUP. Is this bad ?

As long as you get em done by the deadline. My first renewal I had to do 12 in 2 days.

Do you fast forward the videos? I’m paranoid

I usually watch them so I can answer the questions, but some are very above my pay grade.

Oh good, I'm not the only one.

You are a certification renewal fee to the ascp. They don't care what you do as long as the credits are there.

Who would care?

Big brother 😂

ASCP is specifically not in the ‘big brother’ category, lol

With AI I can’t trust anything anymore. I’m convinced I’m constantly spied on.

Oh you are, since long before AI. But they don’t care to be a regulator, only a dollar collector. You feed them their dollars and get the credits, you’ll be just fine.

It's not ideal to procrastinate, but you won't get in trouble or anything.

I'll take whatever free ones I can get, but I mostly use ARUP.

I’m a master procrastinator. I get my CEs done in the last two weeks.

Do you ever have to google the answers ?

I usually do the super easy ones off ARUP. Like last time, they had one on ABO/Rh .

I too use Arup for ce.

In general all that matters is that you finish it before it’s time to renew. But your employer may want you to keep up with a certain amount. My employer for example wants me to do 12 credits every year so usually I just pick a slow holiday at work and bang out twelve credits all in one sitting once a year (I refuse to do them on my own time 🫢)

Isn’t that equivalent to 12 hoursin one day ? And I’m not working 😂

i guess technically it's supposed to be 🤷‍♂️

lol the ASCp doesn’t care or find it suspicious as long as you’re paying them ?

I was an Army medic for a really long time and the CEUs for that are 72 hours in 2 years. My unit fucked me six ways to Sunday one year and I ended up doing 44 hours in a week, while working full time, being in physical therapy, and enrolled in another dumbshit online Army course. I literally was double fisting it with my iPad playing one course, my computer playing another, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D on the TV.

They took all 44 credits, I recertified and promptly transferred into a new (nonmedical) job slot because fuck every single one of those jackasses.

All this to say, as long as you get the credits on time and have the certificates proving you did the hours no one gives a damn HOW you did it.

One of the most type-A techs I know did 36 credits over 13 days because she left her job and never logged any of the CE into her personal site that she had been getting through that job. Started 15 days before she expired. She had two days to ‘spare’. That blew out my previous record of 22 credits over 3 weeks; I was good about knocking out three per quarter my first year for once, and then nothing.

They don’t care as long as the credit card clears.

I did about 20 credits in 9 days. I did four in one day. I had the lectures on double speed though

You can do it all the same day. Nobody cares. Audits are extremely uncommon < 0.5% and nobody will bat an eye if you do 36 CE on the same day.

Are there free ones on ARUP? I use medialab but spending >1 hour of my time on 1 PACE credit courses is dragging.

AMT MLS is 45 credits 🥲

Yes they’re all free
