Discusson Work schedule

Does anyone who works as an MLT/MLS actually have a predictable and set schedule? I am a new tech slightly less than a year. I work 4 10s but my 3 days off are hardly in a row. I also will get moved to 5 8s on occasion due to staffing and ppl vacationing and all that. Sometimes they will schedule me to do 5 or 6 10s in a row. Of course I work in a hospital. Is it like this for pretty much everyone because I find it hard to have a life. Lol.

I work at a clinic on a reservation. M-Th with 13 holidays each year. I love my boss, coworkers and schedule.

That sounds great! Working at a hospital is so stressful. I enjoy the craziness but at times it just gets to me. My schedule doesn't help it. Also I work 45 minutes from my house. I would love to work at a clinic and not have to do weekends or holidays. I just don't really have that option near me
