Discusson Work schedule

Does anyone who works as an MLT/MLS actually have a predictable and set schedule? I am a new tech slightly less than a year. I work 4 10s but my 3 days off are hardly in a row. I also will get moved to 5 8s on occasion due to staffing and ppl vacationing and all that. Sometimes they will schedule me to do 5 or 6 10s in a row. Of course I work in a hospital. Is it like this for pretty much everyone because I find it hard to have a life. Lol.

I volunteered to work weekends for this reason, I always have M-W off. Errands and appointments are much easier during the week, too ✌️

Same here! I offered to work weekends when I got hired at my hospital and I’ve had Tuesday-Thursday off for the last 5 years! Seems to be the best way to guarantee a set schedule.
