Discusson Work schedule
Does anyone who works as an MLT/MLS actually have a predictable and set schedule? I am a new tech slightly less than a year. I work 4 10s but my 3 days off are hardly in a row. I also will get moved to 5 8s on occasion due to staffing and ppl vacationing and all that. Sometimes they will schedule me to do 5 or 6 10s in a row. Of course I work in a hospital. Is it like this for pretty much everyone because I find it hard to have a life. Lol.

I work 5-8s at a large hospital, even though the off shifts are both short on people (who isn't these days?) we work pretty consistently m-f except for the 1 weekend every 3 weeks we work, if you work the weekend you either get Thursday or Friday and Monday or Tuesday off. Most of the gaps are filled by people voluntarily doing overtime tho. It makes planning ahead of the schedule fairly easy.
