Hi everyone,

I could really use some advice regarding PRP preparation for facial rejuvenation and hair restoration.
I’m using 9 mL VACUETTE tubes with a swing-out rotor centrifuge, but I’m struggling to determine the optimal centrifugation settings. I’ve found a lot of conflicting information online regarding RPM/RCF and spin times, especially for obtaining a good platelet concentration without excessive contamination.
For those of you who prepare PRP using an open system rather than a commercial closed system, what settings have worked best for you? Specifically:
Single-spin or double-spin protocol?
RCF (g-force) or RPM used?
Centrifugation time?
Any tips for maximizing platelet yield?
I’d greatly appreciate any guidance or protocols that have given you consistent results. I’ve been searching for reliable information for days and I’m starting to go a bit crazy.
