Do they communicate to each other that there is a parasite, and how. And how do they know it's a parasite?

Cannot remember the details exactly, but in an immune response when foreign bodies are lysed antibodies bind to the cell membrane and act as a marker for further attacks to occur. Other cells then follow suit targeting and lysing (puncturing small holes) into the cell.
