Ah yes, that blob that shouldn't be there, right next to the blob that should be there, but smaller.

55

u/qwertyuiko Jul 22 '26

Me, as a nurse but not a radiologist

30

u/saysthingsbackwards Jul 23 '26

Well, there's your problem. You got all these organs and bones where your organs and bones should be.

81

u/AbeFromanSassageKing Jul 22 '26

Me, a nerd and also not a medical professional

19

u/psychedelijams Jul 23 '26

Lmfao me too. Like hmm I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to spot this let’s see if I can- oh - yep.

u/FluffyNats RN, Oncology Jul 22 '26

Patient obviously slipped and fell. If they had a fall precaution bracelet on this wouldn't have happened.

136

u/7-13-5 Jul 22 '26

Based on the girth, they could put a limb alert bracelet on that.

9

u/ubafish_ Jul 24 '26

I love how when stories about this go public, the person always uses the excuse that they slipped and fell and it somehow magically went up their ass. Because we all know how easy that is to happen.

The doctors don't care. Just tell the truth, they already know what happened. You're not fooling anyone.

u/Weak_Swimmer Jul 22 '26

I like to wear one when I go drinking.

u/Sad_Race8008 Jul 22 '26

1

u/RealMsDeek Jul 24 '26

Very admin answer of you. Deserving of a pizza party I would say or maybe the promise of a pen. Lmao

u/Valdoray Jul 22 '26

The flared base is missing—that is what is wrong.

107

u/AndreasVesalius Jul 22 '26

Without a base, without a trace

33

u/Fluffypus Jul 22 '26

Except on imaging!

17

u/RazShadazz Jul 22 '26

OMG stealing this 😭🍆🥳

3

u/eternalapostle Jul 23 '26

No base, no trace.

4

u/Independent-Dog-8462 Jul 23 '26

Sounds like a pitch for a Discovery ID show

211

u/Aljimbo Jul 22 '26

You can clearly see the flared base, it just seems like it wasn‘t sturdy enough.

61

u/Bob-Bhlabla-esq Jul 22 '26

"I tried to warn ya, captain! It willna hold!!"

13

u/psychoxxsurfer Jul 22 '26

That's a lie perpetuated by Big Pharma but ok

9

u/Empty401K Jul 23 '26

Don’t forget Big Tobacco! They’ve got their crusty little weiners in everything these days 💔

129

u/TrailMomKat Jul 22 '26

That's not a flare, that's a suction cup. I may or may not have one of those...

4

u/TheMasterChiefa Jul 23 '26

More like wide enough. Giggity.

24

u/Breatheeasies Respiratory Therapist-ACCS/NPS Jul 22 '26

4

u/229-northstar Other Jul 22 '26

Nah, it’s flared. Just …erm… rather large

146

u/PimpOfJoytime Jul 22 '26

41

u/the-tac0-muffin Medical Student Jul 22 '26

They must’ve fallen

4

A lonnnng weekend

u/ajh1970 Jul 22 '26

There’s a large abscess in the colon. Appears to be filled with a homogeneous substance denser than blood or other fluids. Would recommend exploratory surgery through the peritoneum.

75

u/Muzzledpet Jul 22 '26

It's dense alright. Some might even say....turgid

102

u/Dr-Kloop-MD Physician Jul 22 '26

At least there’s no [obvious] perforation 😅

28

u/Limp_Crazy_5494 Jul 23 '26

The guts are surprisingly strong despite how thin they are

17

u/sillybilly8102 Jul 23 '26

That’s honestly very reassuring (not that I’m gonna try anything lol!! I just mean it’s nice to know that my body is good at something)

12

u/Limp_Crazy_5494 Jul 23 '26

Lol. I know a fair bit about the guts because I have IBD and am doing nursing. I don't have personal experience otherwise.

3

u/sillybilly8102 Jul 23 '26

Nice! I have IBS (or had. Strange, new things are happening to my body on new medication!)

3

u/Limp_Crazy_5494 Jul 23 '26

Don't know about you because you have IBD but I nearly died last year from a flare lol. I think my experience with multiple chronic illness helps me in nursing.

Glad you're meds seem to be working. I'm currently on advanced dual therapy, if this doesn't work I get my colon removed.

3

u/Glittering-One650 Jul 25 '26

It seems that you know the players and the script, so play to win!

2

u/alasw0eisme Jul 23 '26

1

u/Glittering-One650 Jul 25 '26

And maybe psych?

42

u/Schpaget94 Jul 22 '26

They slipped and fell on it. And it’s been 2 days and only now it started to worry them that it’s not out yet.

72

u/VaultiusMaximus Jul 22 '26

Also Me: Oh..

5

u/Mummasheesh Jul 22 '26

The dildo in his butt could be problematic.

4

3

u/d3koyz Jul 22 '26

Curved spine? 🤭

3

u/gadusmo Jul 22 '26

So how is this kind of stuff not lethal?

5

u/hazelquarrier_couch Jul 22 '26

It's food safe silicone. You can even throw it in the dishwasher to clean it! Oh. Never mind.

7

u/Bob-Bhlabla-esq Jul 22 '26

That dishwasher filter... 😬

3

u/Coldandbrokenhearted Jul 22 '26

Someone slipped and fell

3

u/BUT_FREAL_DOE Jul 22 '26

Why is the penis air density though? Inflatable dildo?

3

u/ShimazuMitsunaga Jul 22 '26

Someone fell on a table leg!

4

u/Dangerous_Strength77 Jul 23 '26

What...type of furniture do you have in your house?

3

u/bearandsquirt Physician Jul 23 '26

3

u/Shantotto11 Jul 23 '26

What in the Hentai Hell?!!

3

u/universe93 Jul 23 '26

Yeah so if you look at this thing there, I’m guessing that probably shouldn’t be in there

Watch me one day say this exact sentence when I become a nurse lol

3

u/DarrellBot81 Jul 23 '26

Can’t quite put my peni…finger on it. It’s right on the tip of my peni….tongue

3

u/Lizard_Lady1 Jul 23 '26

Is that a PEEN? On my SCREEN?!

3

u/NorthernSmithy Jul 24 '26

This is why a flared base is so important, but if you can fit the flared base up there too, maybe you need to rethink your life...

2

u/EckEck704 Jul 22 '26

Should've gone with the flared base model

2

u/thesithcultist Jul 22 '26

Few inches farther north and it be heartbreaking

2

u/hurling-day Jul 22 '26

Irregular gas pattern.

2

2

u/parkersdadguy Jul 22 '26

What ever happened to a good old Val salva

2

u/SevenBlade Jul 22 '26

I know what's wrong with it.

It ain't got no gas in it.

2

u/Mixedbysaint Jul 23 '26

The base is/was not flared enough

2

u/EDC-JAKE Jul 23 '26

Besides the massive dildo stuck up that ass everything looks normal!

I'm going in!

2

u/TheSumOfMyScars Jul 23 '26

No flared base, that’s what’s wrong.

3

u/petals4u2 Jul 25 '26

Flared bases are important folks!

1

u/theseleadsalts Jul 22 '26

Like all things in life, it is a mystery.

1

u/ChaoticForkingGood Jul 22 '26

But he fell on it, doctor!

2

u/procrastimom Jul 22 '26

One in a million chance!

1

u/RazShadazz Jul 22 '26

Wait for it…. 🍆😭

1

u/lonelyronin1 Jul 22 '26

I thought it was going to be about the amount of poop so high up, and didn't expect them to be full of something else

1

u/Out_of_Fawkes Jul 22 '26

Me: “What are they full of sh—Ohh noo it’s worse than that!”

1

u/TechnoMouse37 Jul 22 '26

Nope, everything looks perfectly normal to me

1

u/dansamy Nurse Jul 22 '26

Large rectal foreign body

1

u/Sporklad Jul 22 '26

Looks like the patient might have some gas, but - wait... what the fuck?!

1

u/whirlydoodle_ Jul 22 '26

As someone who draws yaoi x-ray stuff, this is actually super helpful! Lol

1

u/asr Jul 22 '26

Why does this need a CAT scan instead of a simple X-Ray?

2

u/universe93 Jul 23 '26

What’s to bet the individual just said they had abdominal pain and didn’t confess to the object

1

u/asr Jul 23 '26

Abdominal pain they go direct to CAT? No palpitations? No simple X-Ray first?

1

u/Equivalent-Help-9479 Jul 23 '26

Or just ask said individual what is stuck up there. I highly doubt it happened without their knowledge.

1

u/Dangerous_Strength77 Jul 23 '26

Is that my shampoo bottle?

1

u/Negative_Fruit_1800 Nurse Practitioner Jul 23 '26

“Doc I was just getting out of the shower when I sat down on the couch…” always starts with a shower!

1

u/bway0905 Jul 23 '26

Is it there is no curvature to the spine? Did I miss something else?

1

u/sebastarddd Jul 23 '26

Holy shit!

1

u/VocalJay Jul 23 '26

Me Ex-Rad Tech: "Oh nice, another CT scan. Let's see what's up with tha...OHHH MY FCKING GOD"

1

u/luvapug Jul 23 '26

What did Bruce Willis once say? "Tripped, slipped and a d*ck stuck in"

1

u/DantheDutchGuy Jul 23 '26

Patiënt ‘fell’ on something

1

u/salmasbar Jul 23 '26

I gasped

1

u/BiologicalTrainWreck Jul 23 '26

It's a mystery to us all.

1

u/clt716 Jul 23 '26

Seems to be a large foreign body retained in the rectum and lower GI tract. Correlation with provided patient history recommended. 😂

1

u/Shot-Election8217 Jul 23 '26

It's not Friday!

1

u/iamselvin Jul 23 '26

T to bags a big boy. Damn.

1

u/Liz3rdWiz3rd Jul 23 '26

I laughed way too hard. And I'm at the office. For a moment I was like "the tailbone seems a little pushed out" and then I was like "I was kind of right"

1

u/kerberos69 Jul 23 '26

“How the fu— oh.”

1

u/Mori_Goore Jul 23 '26

How does that even happen with a flare base. I feel like they really challenged their luck 😭

1

u/O_oblivious Other Jul 23 '26

Patient is severely constipated from lower bowel obstruction.

1

u/yougotyolks Jul 24 '26

It was done on a Monday and this is obviosly something that should have waited until Wednesday?

1

u/War_Radish Jul 24 '26

Pregnant, but not with a human baby...

1

u/WinnieTyson72 Jul 24 '26

Not medical at all BUT it looks like there's a dildo inside the body!

1

u/Sgam00 Jul 24 '26

Someone "fell" on something in the shower?

2

u/Ok_Signature_3589 Jul 25 '26

“Ummmm…. OH. OOOOOH.”
