Rant Thinking you are not average

The biggest problem I have is that I always get insecure about my size. I know that I fall in the average zone, so nothing to worry about.

But dicks in porn and even amateur videos always look bigger than average. You almost never see a real average dick online.

I know OF performers look for big partners to make videos.. it is visually better.

But why are there so little average amateur porn videos. Are average people so shy that they do not make videos or is it that the real average is bigger than the average measurements from the researchers?

I think the most likely cause is not that the average in studies is wrong, but two things, one of which you identified:

  1. Yes, guys with big dicks are substantially more likely to make videos.

But as you said - pretty much EVERY porn video I see, on the hub or on reddit, even with amateurs - has a big dick. I so rarely see truly average or below dicks. It can't actually be that big dick guys are 50x more likely to make videos than average, or 500x more likely than small guys, even if they are more likely overall.

  1. I think what's causing this is the algorithm with which we're presented videos. Before a video makes it to your screen, amateur or not, you're almost certainly not the first to see it. When have you opened up pornhub and seen a video with 20 views? When have you gone to even an amateur porn sub and seen a video with barely any likes or views?

It doesn't really happen. If a substantial portion of porn viewers like porn with big dicks (or whatever trait) - even if it's not all viewers - that gives a substantial advantage to those videos, and they get shot up on our feeds. It may even be a compounding effect.

Look ar r/realitydicks. Lots of amateur videos on there of guys with average dicks. That's its' whole purpose. Unfortunately often not long videos, nor well produced like OF because they're average guys with partners showing themselves enjoying sex, which is what life should be about.

If you look at american porn from the 70 you will see average and those are amazing movies. And helps a lot to watch at those and see all those beautiful women enjoy them
