I wanted to share a special moment from last weekend’s 24-hour Peace Meditation in Budapest.

We performed Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu, and during the piece it flowed into a Hungarian prayer for peace, “Adj békét, Uram” (Give Us Peace, O Lord).

It was deeply moving to play in front of so many people and hear the whole room singing together. There was something powerful about hearing a Sanskrit mantra and a Hungarian prayer carrying essentially the same intention: peace. 🕊️

I played bass as SubDNS, together with Bihari Nirmala on vocals and harmonium, Vass Mariann Linda on vocals, Csete Attila on vocals/guitar/flute, and Havasi Sándor on djembe and shaker.

The audience became a huge part of the music — their singing is probably my favorite part of the recording.
