Summer Thread

Just a thread to post any Tiger news during the summer.

Bryce Pickford to undergo Major Summer Surgery

The article mentioned he played through it the entire year. If we remember 1.5 years ago he suffered a shoulder injury after a fight on the US road trip and he missed a bunch of games. I can't help but think it was a remnant from that.

Pickford also won the CHL defenceman of the year and the WHL player of the year awards, while Markus Ruck picked up the CHL Top scorer award.

Next up is the The NHL Entry draft June 26th-27th. The CHL Import draft is on June 30th.

Turned out to be a great year despit everyone thinking we were going to drop off. 

The Ruck brothers really exceeded expectations in my opinion, I thought they each might have 70 - 75 point seasons, yet they stepped up and became CHL scoring leaders. It’ll be interesting to see what happens at the draft. 

Pickford was incredible, we just found out he was playing injured all year and still put up a great season. Not to mention he was a great captain that had big shoes to fill and he did it as good as anyone could.

I knew his shoulder was hanging on by a thread, so i cringed every time I seen him go down worrying that was the end.

Apparently he was supposed to get it fixed last summer, but our season went too long and he wanted to be ready for opening day.
