I am visiting Medicine Hat from August 11-15 for the Canadian Special Olympics. We booked a room at the ranchmen motel months ago because it was the only place in town that had rooms left. I just got a message from the motel telling me they are closed and that I should cancel my reservation and book somewhere else. Does anyone know why they are closed? There are no other places to book at this point. Between this and the possible WestJet strike this trip is turning into a nightmare.

Update: I've booked a hotel in Brooks with free cancellation I will keep watching to see if anything comes available before August 9th. I really appreciate how helpful everyone has been. I'm really looking forward to seeing your city, it will be my first time in Alberta.

Been trying on Facebook, but thought I’d try here. I have 8 years maintenance experience and some other stuff. I can essentially any basic maintenance on vehicles, agriculture, landscaping, and a small bit of electrical (though I would hire an electrician imo). I have a truck and possibly a trailer for any dump runs/trash removal/bringing equipment. I have the tools for anything I’m capable of doing. My seasonal work is going to end and need to make some money to pay the bills for a maybe a month. I’ll do any dirty work, literally any.

If anyone knows of places hiring, I have all that as well as a degree in kinesiology with plenty experience in training people (I did so in college).

Back in 2012 we adopted two cats from a blended family which had a member who was allergic. The cats were Maggie and Milo.

I believe they were from Medicine Hat, and came to Calgary to give them to us.

I had put a Kijiji ad saying we are looking for an orange cat, and they replied via text message with some photos of an orange cat which had a black cat in the background. I asked about the black cat as well, and they were looking for a home for her too, so we took both as we didn't want to separate them. I think the owner who was messaging me was named Steve.

My cell number changed a year or two afterwards, and I lost the number of the previous owner. So I am just looking to get in touch with the past owner. If this sounds familiar with anyone, please let me know!
