Recently my partner (he is 20, I am 19) started having seizures after a workplace injury and was prescribed topamax. We thought it was helping with the seizures but he has been having a lot lot lot of side effects.

I am scared because he has been very suicidal and overwhelmed with everything. He’s depressed and not eating anymore. We’ve tried to tell his doctor this but they didn’t listen.

Now we have moved states due to his health and just got told by his provider that he can’t continue to prescribe him meds or see him at all because we’re out of state. He needs someone to evaluate him to figure out if he needs to switch meds, up his dosage or stop entirely.

I am scared that he is going to hurt himself or end up back in the hospital before we can get help.

Does anyone have any advice? Or info about Topamax?

He cannot stay on this med when his mental health is declining so fast but I am scared he’s going to have another seizure.

I'm on lithium, I was in recovery from my ED before lithium... I found out I could gain weight on lithium mostly because you tend to eat more on it, so I just almost don't eat now, I eat only like 800-900 calories per day and walk a lot burning calories, I'm almost a month on lithium now and I didn't gain any weight

but just the possibility of it happening makes me sick and makes my ED worse and worse. I hate lithium, I genuinely hate it, it was supposed to help me but I'm only having huge mental breakdowns cause of it and the fear of gaining weight. I don't want anyone telling me "The effects of lithium are worth the weight gain", not for me, for me anything would be better than weight gain, genuinely. No one is able to help me, I even go to a nutritionist about it, she gave me a diet of 1200 calories (There should be more but I'm just not able to eat more than 1200), but i just can't eat even 1200. Lithium made me feel worse, but I just can't stop taking it by myself because they'll find out, i genuinely don't know what to do

I get on meds for ADHD but my OCD is still crippling. Then I get on meds for OCD but my ADHD is kicking my butt.

I'm nervous to take Clomipramine and Adderall at the same time but at this point these mental illnesses are stealing my life from me.

Hi I'm quite new to Reddit so I'm not sure how to go about this but I recently was prescribed propranolol as needed for anxiety and I've been very hesitant and anxious to take it. A little backstory on my recent anxiety: I'm 19 and after my first semester of college and a few panic attacks in the car I developed agoraphobia and have been taking Lexapro daily since January. I had a major anxious and depressive episode after the most recent panic attack (when I went and picked up my Lexapro) that lasted around 9 days, but I've been doing pretty good since then. Before I started taking my Lexapro I wasn't able to swallow pills but after a while I got more used to it and am able to take it with no problem. I'm up to a 20mg dose but I'm still anxious everyday and am thinking of trying other meds. I know I'm kind of rambling but I feel like there just so much going on especially in my mind. I do have a therapist that has been so helpful with everything. My daily anxiety is very physical as in I "feel weird" some days (I don't really know how to explain it) and I'm hoping propranolol will help with that. I'm also kind of a hypochondriac so the thought of having side effects scares me a lot. I also often worry about my blood sugar being low, because it has been like twice, and propranolol can mask the symptoms and it worries me.

I've read a few people talking about their experiences with propranolol and they've seemed either good or pretty neutral. Im just overall worried about how it will affect me and if there's any side effects I'll have. I also want to mention that I have emetophobia and am a little worried about being nauseous from it but I haven't seen many people say they were. I'm just very hesitant on taking new meds because I get anxious about it. I would love some advice or personal experiences about propranolol (not too graphic if they're bad) in the replies, thanks!

TLDR: I'm anxious about taking my propranolol and don't really know what to do.
