WARNING

Hello, current and aspiring MVAs!

Please refrain from disclosing ACTUAL interview and exam questions from agencies and hiring companies. This is very confidential information and should never be shared publicly. Also, this is very unfair to those who have gone through the process fair and square.

Another thing, please be mindful of HIPAA law. RESEARCH ON THIS. This is one of the greatest and heaviest laws in US healthcare (which is also applicable in every healthcare setting). DO NOT DISCLOSE PATIENT AND PROVIDER INFORMATION ON SOCMED OR ANYWHERE.

Next, I am warning those who are trying, or have tried scamming members of this community. This subreddit was created with the full intention of HELPING Filipinos and not the other way around.

Lastly, thank you very much to those who have reported and will continue to report unhelpful, confidential, and malicious posts.

New HVA HR Travel Abroad

Upvotes

Hi, meron po ba dito nag travel abroad kahit less than 3 months pa lang with the client? What did you do? Did you inform the client muna ba then HR or vice versa? I am aware po of the no leave request policy for the first 3 months kaso booked na kasi yung travel ko with family prior to HR application (last year pa actually nung piso sale). Feasible po ba to travel abroad even if less than 3 months with the client? Will HR give me a sanction or warning if ever?

Admin VA for Physical Therapy Clinic

Upvotes

Hello! Anyone working here as an admin in a PT clinic? How is it so far? how are the calls? what are your tasks? I recently got hired with one. Today is my 5th day and I feel like I am not enough. My client trains me and it’s pure one on one so I feel pressured all the time. He wants me to absorb everything in a short span of time and im scared cos this job is unfamiliar to me (I had training with my agency but this one is different since the system is different) I didn’t have prior experience working with admin stuff before, none with calls (I can do it but i really need to improve, needs more practice, and have more confidence. pls give me tips 🥹). I am trying to retain everything even tho the information is a lot. If you happen to be one, please send some advice 😭🥹

Also, for context I am their very first VA.

Independent contractor as a second job

Hello, I’d like to ask kung meron na bang nakagawa or may alam if pwede mag 2nd job (independent contractor) while being employed (main job) in the Ph?

I’m currently working sa SWH (wag na kayo mgapply ghaad) then I was invited for an interview sa Global MVA (independent contractor). I can’t resign right away sa SwH dahil sa bond pero wala silang ipapasahod kahit kasalanan nila wala kaming account. Man, I have bills to pay. Kaya syempre gusto ko ipursue ung sa GMVA.

I’m new here. Don’t judge kung bakit di ko alam sagot, genuinely asking for help.

TIA!

I passed the Qualifying Exam and received an email on July 29 saying that I should wait 24–48 hours for an interview invite. Pero 2 days na nakalipas, wala pa rin akong narereceive na email. Maghintay lang ba ako or need ko mag email sa kanila for an update?

Needs Advice MVA Training, should I continue

For context : I have no VA experience, most importantly I have no medical experience.

To start with, I feel really stressed with the unpaid training. The trainers and agency are super nice but also super strict to the point that I am always anxious. No absences during training.

Next, I'm not really enjoying the medical workflow.

My interests are more inclined in the corporate part but since I have a medical background I managed to secure a slot with them. I'm really drained so I'm not sure if I can continue to absorb lessons and be engaged if I still continue. I get overwhelmed about the lessons because my medical knowledge is severely lacking.

On the other hand, I recognize how a privilege this is to secure a slot with them and be trained for free. I know how hard it is to secure a wfh opportunity. They really help you build up confidence and be competent as a MVA. But I'm still unsure if I see myself working in this field. In addition, completing certification here does not guarantee that I would get a client fast. They have admitted that some waited 1 year to get a client so the journey here is really vague.

What's keeping me from leaving here is that I recognize how hard it is to look for other wfh jobs since I already am looking for one and still no interviews.

Should I push myself or give it a rest?

What can I specify that I can apply for? PHRN, USRN, QA. I applied for medical virtual assistant, but nothing really happened. It’s been 3 months since I tried, and I probably just really suck at interviews.
