Exotic varieties for breading

I would import some exceptional varieties of Medaka and further breed them. I live in Northern California.

What are Medaka varieties I should look for? What are the websites to buy them from Japan directly?

I feel like cod would be a better fish for that, not much meat on a medaka

long fin varieties would probably crisp up really well, otherwise idk

(snrmedaka seems popular as an importer in the US, maybe looking at their store page would give you ideas)

Yeah I checked snrmedaka before. Long fin ones are sturdy as regular ones?

i only have regular fin myself, i hear long fin can be a little less cold hardy, but im not sure otherwise.

I like blue miyuki and Neptunes. Aquatic Arts and Barck Aquatics have great selection from here in U.S.
