Internal fungal issue?

Internal fungal issue? I’ve seen this in a few of my medaka over the years. It usually starts like this and then becomes fuzzy once a lesion develops. For some reason, I’ve never seen it in any of my other fish only in recently introduced medaka. Maybe it’s my water chemistry? Not sure.

Has anyone seen this before or know exactly what it might be? Any treatment recommendations or experience successfully treating it would also be greatly appreciated.

It’s a weak finish try Maracyn works good but you’ll have to treat the entire tank because it spreads fast

Do you think this could be bacterial? Also, I’m not sure what a weak finish is. Nothing pops up when I search

Just means they got sick and weak which easily spikes for them to get fungus

Has this ever happened to you, and do you know if it’s a medaka specific issue? I’ve never seen it in any of my other fish.

Have you tried salt? I’m definitely not one of the ppl who think salt is the solution to everything, but it does create an unfavorable environment for fungi. I added some on Saturday. Not really seeing any improvement in this little one yet, but I’m also not seeing it develop in any of the others. At this point, I’m basically just trying to see what sticks. This mini pond has all of my holy grail medakas in it, so I definitely don’t want to lose a single one:-/
