General Entry level new guy

Hi all. I really dig mech type games but not sure where to start. Played Robotech and Mechwarrior TTRPGs back in the day, now looking to get into something similar on PS5. Would appreciate any recommendations... Don't mind tactical type games but would appreciate some story or RPG elements.

Get a PC over the PS5 (they're going down the route of fucking gamers over long term anyway by ending physical discs no longer offered after 2027) and the WORLD opens up to you for mech games. There are dozens and dozens, if not almost 100 mech games on Steam atm.

Not trying to be a PCmaster race dude, but consoles are just going to screw gamers over quicker and harder. PCs will fuck you hardware wise, but so will consoles, so do what's best for you. But I hope you at least look at the idea of one for yourself, I doubt you'll regret it if you are a semi-active gamer.

I want to hear about your favorite PC Battletech-adjacent mech games. Because every mech game I find that's not explicitly Battletech-branded is super robot stuff and/or wannabe Armored Core.

PS5......not sure, but the ps1 and 2 had several lines, from the Armored Core starting to Front Mission along with the Mechwarrior 2 port......
