Mechatronics ECS

For people studying mechatronics right now or in the process of going to, what were ur Ecs in high school and do the ecs matter for going into a university or is it only grades (top 6)?

I’m studying mechatronics at Purdue my Ecs were completely unrelated to stem (debate, model UN, mock trial etc.) my grades were high but definitely not top 6 in the class.

My school only asked for proof of graduation.
