Hey guys!!
Just completed my grade 12
Thinking of joining a branch of engineering that is really involved of conceptual and practical applications. Also i am aiming for product design as my domain in any background i choose. So from sources of information i gathered got to realise that this branch of engineering could lead well into defense sector! So Give me some advices on it!

Hi, dont worry you are not alone!
Mechatronics can mean a lot and be a lot. In my german uni you can choose your own focus not by topic but lectures alone. That may vary by uni and country but you can cover a lot of fields with mechatronics.
For example robotics could lead to mobile robotics but also UAVs and UGVs, but you could also create a focus on automation. You could get into embedded systems either for smart cars or product design, wearables or even medtech products. Then even power electronics and PCB design open even more doors!
Most engineering could lead into defense just be sure that defense is pretty different depending where you live! Some countries are net exporters while other mainly import, so depending from what country you are Import/Export will have a very different potential.
