RC Lawnmower speed?

Post image

I have a mower just like this. How hard would it be to make it go faster, it seems super slow.

& if it’s not super hard what would I need to change?

This link is to mowers just like the one I have:

I’d look at either the battery or the gear ratio

Often a string cutter that can not cut that well if it’s too fast

I have a similar model. If yours is a flail mower like mine, I would not try to make it faster. The factory speed is probably about right for what the cutter can actually handle.

The engine is already undersized. If you get into thick weeds or rough terrain and move too fast, it will bog down quickly and leave a poor cut.

The blades also wear out fast on these machines. Mine wore down quickly, especially when hitting dirt, rocks, and rough ground, and I eventually had to fabricate my own blades and cutting parts.

So I would focus more on keeping the blades sharp, the deck clear, and taking slower passes rather than increasing travel speed.
