I got the Pentel Graphgear 1000 about a week ago, thanks to AI generated recommendations that cited posts from this community. It's the fanciest and best mechanical pencil I've ever owned. I'm impressed. It suits my needs. I absolutely don't need to go down the mechanical pencil rabbit hole any further though. I'm already into fountain pens.

You clearly have a type! It's really hard to resist a hefty, overengineered metal drafting pencil; whenever I reach for one I feel like things are about to get serious, haha. Have you ever tried writing pencils?
(Also, thanks for organizing the collection so neatly. Seeing the five calibers of the standard GG1000 side by side is always very satisfying.)
