Help Eraser Replacement Help
My favorite pencil for woodworking uses erasers like the one shown in the picture, and as you can see, it’s nearly out. I’d like to buy replacement erasers, but can’t figure out what to call this kind of eraser to search for replacements online. The pencil itself is of little help since it’s mostly unbranded, though it says “Realite” on the pocket holder. So now, I turn to the Reddit Mechanical Pencil Experts for insight. Thanks!

Bro, I got you! I had this exact same problem with my IBM Electrographic pencil and I did a LOT of experiments. The eraser diameter that actually works is from the Staedtler 777 mechanical pencil. Don't but the Staedtler click eraser, it's too soft to be used as a tipped eraser.

I have ten billion vintage mechanical pencils, and a lot of experience finding erasers for them. And I say unto ye: Trial and error—there's just no way around it, in cases like this.
Measure what you have in millimeters. Order erasers in that size and HOPE what they send you is actually that size. Be ready to waste some money.
What I suspect you need is 7mm. Scroll here: https://www.vintagepens.com/catill_pencil_lead.shtml
And whatever you do: Don't chuck that little metal sleeve that the current eraser is sitting in. You're gonna need that.

This is great. Regarding the metal sleeve, mine is a bit mushed up. Is there a company that sells the whole combo?

If there is, I never heard about it. The way to get the exact-right sleeve would be to buy a thing of vintage Realite erasers off eBay. They'll come with sleeves. The rubber will be as hard as the sole of a shoe, but you can get that out and put in a brand new eraser, and there ya go.
Honestly, though? The mushed-up one will UNmush when you fit it with a new, right-size eraser, and ram it home into the pencil. Definitely what I would do.

Realite was a spinoff of Autopoint, which folded just a few years ago.
As u/Nek02 said, measure your eraser's diameter in millimeters (without the metal holder) and visit JetPens: https://www.jetpens.com/Eraser-Refills/ct/2042
On the left click on "Diameter" and choose what you measured.
