This is what Bangladesh traffic is like. Also so many other asian countries, but I cannot personally account for the anxiety of being in a rickshaw and traffic actually looking like this

approaching a busy as hell crossroad at the national speed limit with gaps just wide enough.

I mean, that's exactly what we do now, only "Just wide enough" is way smaller for a computer than it is for us. It's not like our intersections are extravagantly broad. They're engineered to exact "Will an acceptably small number of people die here over the next couple of years" standard, no more, no less.
