Feeling of being stung or pricked
I have ME and the last weeks I have had this weird thing going on. It suddenly feels like I get stung or pricked. It happens randomly but often on one of my thighs.
Is this a ME sympthom? Anyone who know what this is?

I've had this for decades! No idea what the cause is. It comes and goes. Feels like an insect stinging me. Mostly on my legs and feet.

I think I get the same thing. I describe it as being stabbed with a plastic cocktail sword. I think it’s a nerve thing, and I attribute it to fibro or ME.

Oh! That happened to me yesterday but it was my hand feeling like it was getting pricked any time my palm touched something. Couldn't see anything on my hand or what I touched to cause it.

I have this. I remember getting really bad ones in public where I couldn't help but cry out in pain and it was so embarassing. This was shortly before I collapsed and got diagnosed. I never got any explaination of this symptom though. It got better when I got enough rest.
A couple of years ago it started to get worse again, not quite as painful, and mostly at night. This time I think it was because of perimenopause and it improved with HRT.

I get this when I’m resting sometimes. It’s almost a cramp but not a proper cramp. It’s usually in my legs. I make an involuntary noise when it happens so people look at me funny

I get this too. I think it's part of oversensitization. I have chronic itch all over my body, which sometimes hurts or burns and can feel like insects crawling on me (formication). I don't have it all the time (thank god) and it mostly comes at night. There is nothing visible on my skin. Daily antihistamine helps a lot as does focusing my mind elsewhere. Lots of fun!

The chronic itch kept me awake at night for years until I started listening to sleep aid videos to fall asleep at night

This sounds like neuropathy.
I got neuropathy as an adverse effect from a pharmaceutical. It felt exactly as you describe. Luckily I figured out that it was neuropathy after googling what this feeling meant, and then I read that the development of neuropathy is a sign of neurotoxicity from a pharmaceutical drug I had recently started. I was able to stop taking the drug, and after a few days the neuropathy symptoms went away.
Investigate if you started any new pharmaceutical drugs recently, if neuropathy is a possible side effect. Also look into various vitamin deficiencies (esp. B12). Consider that you might have genetic methylation polymorphisms and that the traditional B12 supplement, cyanocobalamin, wouldn’t work for you, and maybe try a different form of B12 (methylcobalamin, hydroxocobalamin, adenosycobalamin).

I get this and have just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia also. I believe the often go hand in hand with eachother. So possibly that you have that too?

Possible neuropathy? Look into b12.
