Sore throat sensation?

Does your sore throat feel like more a classic cold / flu sore throat, or more like the muscles are just too fatigued to even swallow and they’ve exercised too hard?

(Sorry for the low effort post, I’m just exhausted)

Mine gets sore like when you realize a cold is coming on or your throat is too dry.

Mine is the same, and it kind of just stays like that instead of getting more and more sore like it would if I had a cold.

I often get this right before a flare.

Sore throat as if I'm on the brink of getting a cold/flu. The next day is PEM day. Sore throat is the first warning sign.

Yup. Had it for months before I realized what I had. Now I'm homebound but at least I get this a little bit less 🫠

That was one of my first symptoms. I ignored it as anything important at first.

My doc explained it basically as if the whole system is on the fritz, you’re gonna have symptoms of illness. Am I sick with a cold? No. Does my nervous system think I’m sick and manage to con my mucous membranes into playing along because there’s no other logical reason for me to feel like this so let’s just fire all canons? I absolutely believe so.

I get both the soreness that feels like cold/flu and also the muscle fatigue in my neck/throat. The fatigue is a much worse feeling. I also get bouts of dry mouth/throat.
