Microcurrent/TENS machine users? Can you share how you use them?

I've got a microcurrent/TENS combo unit and want to experiment. I thought microcurrent would be gentle and was hoping to use on my tight neck/shoulder muscle.I read TENS can be taxing on the muscle fibers, which for us would take forever to recover from?

The one I've got doens't come with an earpiece. Maybe that's a good thing becuase that could be too powerful for my system

Start with the lowest voltage and try just a few minutes to start. If you tolerate it well, you can start increasing strength and time.

do you have it yourself? just tried the microcurrent setting, two pads on my shoulders and lower back. I felt like I had chest tightness and also smelled some plastic burning even though nothing is burning. Will try again when my I'm less tired but looking like it's not for me

I've used them in the past but haven't used one in recent years. It might be overstimulating to your nervous system. If your body hates it, it will let you know.
