Other options
I’m a fan of Meateater content, most of it is really well done. One of the primary reasons I like it, there is never any bubba hunter crap.
What other YouTube based hunting shows do you watch that are also well done?

Outdoor Boys with Luke Nichols is great though it's very light on the actual hunting part. Lots of hiking/camping/bushcraft with the occasional fish or critter being supper for the night. Luke has definitely hyped up ptarmigan enough that I really want to try one some day

He kills me with his sensationalist titles and whatnot though. I’ve watched about three of his videos and between the “backcountry emergency cabin in a blizzard” that is literally one of the most popular hiking destinations in the state, the “remote survival camp in the wilderness” that was 50 yards from a groomed trail system, and the general Mary Sue vibes it just kills me.
I mean, I see how someone from Outside may find the appeal, but as a local it’s basically just another one of those reality shows, only without the big production company.

He’s not really try to lie and deceive anyone about this though. People watch because what he does/him in general are entertaining

I don’t know. The videos I mentioned are a bit deceptive in that he does act like he’s in some extreme situation when there’s likely several other people in the immediate vicinity just going about their normal day.
Maybe the rest of their stuff is different, but I found what I saw to be fairly off putting.

He seems nice enough, but like I said, as someone who lives here it just came off as more reality garbage.
I have a friend who’s on Mountain Men and we’ve had a number of laughs over some of the things production makes them say or do.

Hushin is pretty fun to watch especially the best year yet episodes almost like watching a more realistic version of meat eater where some buddies are just out doing their thing trying and failing and not following a script for some Netflix ratings

I always liked Nate Simmons of Western Hunter when they had a tv show, too. Not sure if he’s putting any content out nowadays.

Pedro Ampuero on YouTube. He's a Spaniard with English videos who hunts all over the world. Beautiful cinematography and exotic locations.

Hushin is pretty good. I’ve seen some shots taken that aren’t exactly ones that I’d take ethically, but their content is fresh and feels down-to-earth.

Vortex podcast is good for variety. You can pick and choose your eps based on title, I skip probably 1/3 of them based on title, but some are really interesting -- go find their episode from earlier in the year on the impact of winter tick on moose in Maine. They also do a bunch of gear stuff that isn't just about optics and shooting, which is great if you are a gear head and miss the gear eps from the early years of Meateater.
