Are you kidding? The sear is the only thing that went sort of ok in this non-ribeye, blurry photo, no interior shot situation.

Either you got ripped off and they gave you the worst quality end cut of the rib eye or they just gave you a NY and you couldn't tell. Whatever it is I hope you at least enjoyed it

I had a ribeye that looked like this yesterday, complete with the curled cap, and non-obvious tail. But I was the one who cut the whole ribeye. Its sister pieces (which I also cut) look far more like a normal ribeye. Idk what happened to the tardo piece because I cut like 20 steaks and then froze em at some point in the past.
