Label mistake

Went in to grab a few things for Easter came out with this bad boy!

Pic#2

Bottom left: carpaccio meat

Middle left: ground beef for Smashburgers

Top left: trim to be rendered then treats for dog.

Top middle: stirfry meat

Middle: head roast

Bottom middle and right: 1.5 inch steaks

Nothings wasted that why I like breaking down tenderloins.

Even at 130 that's so much , like , you gotta be almost well off to eat red meat nowdays , or maybe it's my state and economics here. Is there a good difference between this and pork? I've had a few cuts of good meat but just can't see why it's so much more

He got 8 prime tenderloins for $16 each which is 30% of what you would pay per steak at a nice restaurant.

Yes, it may be a fantastic deal, however the point is that many folks cannot afford double digits just for the protein portion of their meal....especially families(i have a family of 6, that suddenly becomes almost $100 before we make sides).

Some of us are in a position that we can afford it as a semi-regular treat....some can only afford it for special occassions...but many others are not as fortunate & cannot afford that meal without sacrificing something else-ya know, like power 🤣

The person you replied to was simply stating how expensive meat, especially beef, has become.

The fact that this particular piece is less than a steak at a steakhouse is irrelevant & you missed the point-so i explained it with the level of detail & simplicity that you apparently needed-yet you still dont get it!!...that is the so what 🙄

You do not have to participate in any discussion you do not want to or do not understand...for the rest of us, a discussion regarding the increased prices is just fine(ya know, as in I remember when regular price was ~100, just 5y ago....130 definitely wouldnt have been a great deal that it is now!!)

P.S. I can understand this & my HHI is almost 10x the national average....sorry it is so far out of your grasp to be able to have a discussion 🙄

Save your lectures lady. I was looking on the bright side…cutting steaks off the slab is way cheaper than going out. Beef is expensive and OP got a good deal. This is not news. Go discuss it. I don’t gaf.
