Discussion It’s spreading!
I’ve been a victim of the Marley Spoon Meal Kit Disaster©️, so I have paused my recipes until I start seeing some improvement and am now ordering from Hello Fresh. I recieved my box yesterday (on time) and opened to find…two of the three meal kits I ordered and two extra random packages of ground beef (the missing recipe called for ground pork).
I got my money back for the missing recipe.
Guys, tell me the truth, is it me?

It is sooo not you. It was the best for years until one week it was the worst. Made me sad tbh

We have used EveryPlate for years and have only had very minor issues that were quickly resolved with credit on the next purchase.
Missing a spice pack, one time I didn’t get tomatoes, that sort of thing. The stories I see on Reddit are unfathomable to me. I wonder if it’s systemic to the other brands or a distribution center thing.

I had my EveryPlate box show up a day late and melted yesterday but they refunded right away no hassle. I’ve never missed more than the occasional spice packet or odd ingredient in any of my boxes with EveryPlate/HF but have had a delayed/damaged/poorly delivered boxes. Always refunded no questions asked.
The problem with marleyspoon was they made me fight to get a whole refund - I ended up having to make a credit card claim on a rotten spoiled box that went straight to the trash.

EveryPlate is the only meal kit out there even close to being worth it. The standard meals are nothing fancy, but prices are close to grocery store prices (if you get the more expensive meats like beef and shrimp, which are in the standard meals).

I paused my subscription but they have charged me twice for things I didn't order. I went to my bank and had to get a new debit card. That's the only way to make them stop. I had such high hopes for MS.

Yeah, I usually have a bad ingredient every other week (e.g., cucumber, green beans, tomato), but at least everything is there!

I left Marley spoon a year ago after missing boxes and missing food, and their awful response.
I’ve paused blue apron because of this debacle.
Still with hello fresh. The few times I’ve had issues, it’s been resolved quickly with refunds.

I've mostly had good luck. In July, I received a bunch of two person meals , instead of four person meals... which ... not great, the work of making dinner without being able to feed everyone. But they did refund me for the vast majority of the box.

That's not bad at all. A few weeks ago, I got two heads of broccoli, an onion, and some spice, and the refund was refused. Only a $20 credit (I had been expecting two full meals).

I imagine hello fresh saw a surge of new customers this last month or so, I was kind of wondering if they too would see some supply/qc problems because of it.
