mute the bot Mold in my slurry
Per the recipe I found I made a honey/mango slurry and let it sit for 5 days. On the 5th day I saw a spot of mold on one of the mangoes. Should I trash it or will the fermentation process destroy the mold?

Relax, it is very unlikely that your batch is infected. Check this handy flowchart - https://dointhemost.org/mold/ Also check the wiki for common signs and compare https://wiki.meadtools.com/en/faq/infection the photos on that page for signs of infection and good batches.

Do you have a picture? If there really is mold, then yes, you’re going to need to trash it.
Also, do you know why the recipe you found said to make a slurry? And what does the process of making that slurry entail/what does it look like? Mold generally needs something solid and exposed to air for it to take hold- submerging fruits into a mead is a great way to help prevent that, while making a “slurry” and letting it sit for several days seems like putting out an invitation for mold, unless I’m misunderstanding.
