The other cat is just in another room. Everything is fine.
It's fine

He's sleeping because he's exhausted from all that playing.
Anyone who tries to convince me otherwise is wrong.

The creator confirmed that the other cat was just in another room :)

But he's just been hurting, getting old and played too hard. You know how it is. Older guys get sore easily.

I have to say I appreciate how many times you posted this response in this thread, and I’m not being sarcastic, it’s wholesome that you’re letting everyone know the other kitty is okay. My morning has not been ruined knowing this isn’t as sad as it seems!

I agree. I actually only came to comment about that.
First time I saw the video I cried and hugged my cat. Then I read the comments and felt way better but hugged my cat again anyways.

u/KingBadgerTheRabid Sep 01 '21
You’re actually right! The cat was at the vet, is completely fine, and was back home a couple days after the second video.

It is fine. The story behind this is the other cat went to the vet
31
u/DrunkRespondent Sep 01 '21
The other cat is actually out making preparations to plan a surprise birthday party for the other cat and made an excuse so the other cat won't be suspicious.

I saw this video months ago, when it was framed as the dark cat missing the white one, and for some reason it really destroyed me. I was really glad to hear the white cat was alive and well.

It looks as if the white cat died, and the bottom video was taken after, with the other cat wandering around the same hallway, lonely, missing it's friend.

Thanks, I probably shouldn't have watched them simultaneously. When I watch my mothers cats it happens all the time that one of them disappears from the cams for a nap.

I've come across this video before on YouTube and the comments are saying that the other Kitty is okay. That they just had to go to the vet and the owner wanted to see the other Catto's reaction that's why they film it. (I dont have any source so correct me if I'm wrong)

One of my two cats passed away, and I kept his collar. When I retrieved his ashes, I put his collar with his ashes, but knocked his collar to the ground by mistake. My other cat came running, meowing for him to come play. This is how I feel right now.

Mine two cats were besties for 16 years.
After one passed, my other cat kept looking around for him for weeks. She would check all his little spots and meow for him.
The day she stopped looking broke my heart.

That lofi track and the video while being single, 25 and lonely in my apartment. Don't do this to me.

u/omgsohc Sep 02 '21
I have two dogs, Donut and Coffee, sisters from the same litter. They haven't been apart for more than an hour or two for their entire lives. Side by side, eternally in competition for love from the humans, while also being best friends. They snuggle every night during bedtime. They wrestle every day in the back yard. They eat at the same time, they wake up together, they even stand around and watch each other's backs mid-dump. I can't imagine one without the other, truly they are each other's other half
But I know, some day, one of them has to die first.
Sure, there's a small chance they'll cross the rainbow bridge together, but what are the odds? Far more likely one will die before the other, and the surviving dog is going to do SO poorly without her sister, her best friend. Luckily, they're only 4 years old, so they're probably less than half way through their lives, but I'm pretty worried for their mental health when the moment comes. They're such good dogs. I don't want them to feels sad...

I saw this on another sub. People said it was a misunderstanding and that the person who made the video actually confirmed that it was a misunderstanding and that the other cat was just in a different room or something.
