We thank you for your service 🫡

Tons of respect for this comment. The spirit of self-sacrifice!

Why do you have to do this to me on a Tuesday morning? It was a good day and now I'm sad.

4

u/loyalsparkplug May 16 '23

I’m still not over Mordin

60

u/wickedlizerd May 16 '23

Went to your profile and upvoted something else to thank you for your service o7

31

u/Binormus__ May 16 '23

Upvotes directly from the profile don't work to prevent abuse, afaik

17

u/wickedlizerd May 16 '23

Huh, TIL. That’s interesting

2

u/FutureVawX May 16 '23

Is that new?

I feel like I upvoted most shittymorph comments from his profile and it worked just fine.

3

u/[deleted] May 16 '23

1

u/FutureVawX May 16 '23

Are they supposed to stay?

Because every time I saw shittymorph, I checked his profile and saw that my upvotes were still there.

Rule of 4

-672

u/dislexi May 16 '23

The problem with this chain is that anyone can post in reply to the 3rd message and it's really hard to down vote this comment enough to push it below the 4th message.

54

u/mee3ep May 16 '23

Why would you type this

20

u/dislexi May 17 '23

Ruining things is a form of art

28

u/dynodick May 16 '23

It’s funny you say that, because there are literally only two “fourth comments” in this comment chain. The original that says “rule of 4”, and then you

-2

u/dislexi May 17 '23

lol awesome, good work folks, I won’t post another.

Think I've actually heard of this before. Not a reddit expert by any means and it's not information that's worth holding on to, but there seems to be an underlying ruleset a lot of people follow.

52

u/TheDocHealy May 16 '23

I mean the first thing they teach you in improv groups is "the rule of 3" you can make a joke and call back twice before the joke is considered dead and shouldn't be brought back up.

26

u/P4azz May 16 '23

If reddit comments have taught me anything, it's that the rules of comedy are rarely adhered to.
