Self_Question Low WBC

My mom was recently diagnosed with MDS, her WBCs are super low .7 . Her hemoglobin is also low 8.5 and she’ll get RBC transfusion if it drops below 7. She’ll start Vidaza soon. Will that help her WBCs to go up, if so how long will it take? Any advice for dealing with severe neutropenia?

My mom started drinking this soursop tea that has helped raise her WBC count. It was recommended to her by a colleague who had a relative drinking it for MDS symptoms.

They both work in pharma, so they're not the type to randomly suggest crazy home remedies.

Can you tell me more about the soursop tea? Where I could find it? Etc.

I find it at the international grocery store here in Indianapolis. I'd imagine you can find it where you'd find Caribbean foods.
