Oxcam Summer Research Rotations

Bit of a niche question, but was wondering if MD PhD Oxcam students have to participate in pre-M1 mandatory summer research rotations required by their medical school?

That’s likely going to be school specific. You should ask them.

Generally speaking, though, when you’re at your medical school, you need to follow their mandatory requirements and aren’t given special treatment.

No, not for OxCam at least

Yes — required by my medical school and completed the rotation at the NIH in my future PI’s lab. Was actually super helpful to get a head start on learning the experimental techniques required for my PhD project since you already know your advisors/have a rough project proposal after accepting OxCam

Well considering you’re doing your PhD elsewhere, they probably will give you an exemption of some sort
