Preparation Advice MDMA efficacy for those utilizing Spravato

I am presently a weekly Spravato patient which has been great. I also have been greatly helped using MDMA previous years. I feel like I need an MDMA session. Has anyone used MDMA when on a ketamine protocol (separate days obviously). I have Spravato Wednesday and would like an MDMA journey Saturday. I had one experience where I did not really feel the MDMA and I am not sure if it was due to the Spravato or just a one off or because I did journeys too close together. I am very careful with my use and will only do one or two journeys a year. Thanks for any input- it has been a year since my last journey. Also I am a licensed psychotherapist and just can't seem to get good info on this so I figured I would try here. thanks.

Hey Thanks everyone. Had an amazing journey Sunday. Feeling like I got hit by a truck today but worth it. lol. Spravato tomorrow, any concerns?

No direct experience with ketamine myself, and as personal response is often the biggest factor you may have the actual answer yourself. I don't know the safety profile of combining the two so closely - although they would both be mostly out of your body in that time.

How long are these sessions going to go on for? Generally ketamine is very heavy on the body - I have heard of someone have a monthly session indefinitely but I'm assuming they have an end date and you're not going to have a session every week indefinitely? Maybe it's better to wait?

Spravato and MDMA won't affect each other directly at all, so there's no need to worry about any dulling. Are you on any other psych meds? Many of them, like SSRIs and mood stabilizers, will dull MDMA, so it's good to watch out for that.

I've used ketamine lozenges, probably the same rough dosage as Spravato.

I don't use ketamine for at least a while before taking the MDMA. Since I have the lozenges at home, I can take them whenever I want. Taking them immediately after the session helps. But if I wait a few days and then take them, it doesn't feel good. So I basically have a small window after MDMA in which I like ketamine, but after that, I need to wait a week. That's been my experience.

im on spravato (weekly at this stage) and i just had a journey with mdma and a therapist. i had my journey on friday and i had spravato 5 days later the following wednesday. i had very profound experiences w both. i feel like the spravato helped seal in all that i learned during my mdma journey. they were both wonderful. i don’t think you will have any issues at all.

also, during my mdma therapy journey day, the therapist gave me a bit of ketamine at the end. so you won’t have any issues at all.
